McpBridge — startup and controls
McpBridge connects a local MCP client to running Protohaund instances. Protohaund.McpBridge.exe is shipped beside Protohaund.exe in the core application. No separate Windows service is required.
MCP Server → MCP Bridge provides start, restart and stop commands, status and PID. The McpBridge window lists connections and associated processes.
| Setting | Behavior |
|---|---|
Start automatically | Start McpBridge with Protohaund when activation is valid |
Runtime mode | Interactive shows the connection window; Hidden runs without it |
Close with last Protohaund | Close MCP when the last application instance closes, including client connections; reconnect the client afterwards |
Stop also disables McpBridge automatic startup. Each Protohaund instance's permissions remain controlled by its own Agent access settings.
For external client setup, see connecting an MCP client.
