Selecting a profile and module
A profile selects the application area; a module selects a protocol or family of systems. The interface has two fields: Profile and Module. Both Tracer and Monitor use the selected module. Tracer keeps the message sequence; Monitor summarizes recurring observations.
Modules
| Profile | Module | Purpose | Package in Packages |
|---|---|---|---|
Industry | Modbus RTU | Serial requests and responses, observed values and errors | Modbus |
Industry | CANopen | Source CAN frames and CANopen message decoding | CANopen |
Automotive | VAG | VAG diagnostics over CAN: ISO-TP/UDS and TP2.0/KWP2000 | VAG and its Automotive tools dependency |
See the tool overview for available workflows. Access requirements are described under account and beta license.
