Serial — serial port

For Modbus RTU, select Serial in Settings → Connections → Transport. The serial transport is included in the core application; install the Modbus package. Use an appropriate serial adapter for RS-485.

This module uses Serial.

Setting	Meaning
Port	Adapter serial port
Baudrate	Serial line speed
Data bits, Parity, Stop bits	Character format; must match the line settings
RS-485 turnaround, ms	Additional RS-485 turnaround delay for active communication

After configuring the connection, prepare a source for passive observation.
